I do believe much of it is just natural earth cycles. I think history shows us that. However, I also believe that some of our behaviours have either hastened the cycle or added to the intensity. But your correct, the issue is becoming so politicized that you have people sitting firmly on one side of the fence or the other. I think it makes much more sense that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Something is going on for sure..we have never had this many days of snow on the ground, at least no where recorded that I could find. It's too bad when people are more concerned about being right then in finding the actual truth isn't it.
Yes the same has occurred where I live as regards colder weather though not as extreme. The issue of climate change and how it effects the ocean currents disrupting the weather in general (making the summers hotter and winters colder) is complex. Its unfortunate that its been politicized (on both sides) so that its harder to take a rational approach to it. Where I originally lived the weather had set patterns and then starting somewhere in the mid 80's it began to get out of control such as thunderstorms in the winter, etc Where I live now which is in the same area there have been two consecutive summers with tornadoes (which never happens in the state I live in) and migratory patterns of birds have been disrupted. Climate change has affected people around the world some in minor ways, some in more serious ways. Its a shame that there is research on both sides that has been discredited after as the issue should be approached rationally.
