I enjoy things like this show and I'll tell you why. It's not considered racist because it is putting white people in an uncomfortable light. If it were a white person making this film and trying to shame anyone else, it'd be called racist all day and the media wouldn't give it a chance to air.
Maybe I'm different. I can't be shamed for things other people did. I can be disgusted by it and slavery and racism are shame worthy things. I had nothing to do with slavery. It wasn't my idea. I was not directly involved and I can't be shamed by it.
I'm trying to figure out how this show will do anything for the subject? What's its intended purpose? I'd like to hear that from the film maker. I
Sorry I was just trying to make a strong point about the show that is going on.
I don't like the last sentence of your post and if I could delete it, without deleting the entire post, I would...
I clicked on the link and they're trying to "demonize" white people... really? I'll have to try to watch that on July 22, though my husband will probably over rule me... he's definitely prejudiced against MTV... sorry, he's 6 months older than I am and when you're our age that's a big deal...
Okay, bad joke... you're right, this is the stuff that hate and racism are born from... These are the people the propagate this kind of stuff... they thrive on it, they suck young people into it and make them feel bad for history that they know nothing about... All of this stuff is sad beyond belief, because it allows for "divide and conquer".
