Clinton Says Deal Reached On New Iran Sanctions

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday the United States has agreed with China, Russia and other major powers on a proposal for "strong" new sanctions against Iran's nuclear program.

Clinton told a Senate committee that the five permanent members of the Security Council — Britain, China, France, Russia and the U.S. — along with Germany would send a new draft sanctions resolution to the entire council later Tuesday, capping months of painstaking negotiations.

I am sure interested in seeing what the sanctions are.  It's such a bad situation...it seems a large group (possibly the majority) of Iranians oppose him, but he is so corrupt.  But yeah, they sure do have to stop him from getting his hands on nuclear weapons, no question there.  And he has most definately not been co operative.  Did you see any of his speeches he gave in the US?  I saw one at a US university (can't remember which one).  He is seriously out of his mind.

Yeah, well it seems the only option we have is sanctions without making them disappear in the permanent sense. I heard they are rebuking the sanctions, which doesn't surprise me. He is a loose cannon to say the least.

As happy as I am that so many countries are coming together to try to deal with that lunatic (the Iranian President) I just don't see how this will help matters.  It will hurt the average Iranian citizen far more then the corrupt gov't.  I agree that something dramatic has to happen...God help us if he gains serious nuclear capabilities, I just have to question whether or not this is the way to do it.  I guess I would need to know more about the sanctions.  I truly believe that this leader is going to be the catalyst for the next world war.  He is one scary individual.
