Court Case warns the EPA could' own' your land
A legal team asking the Supreme court to intervene in a controversy ,is warning ;land owners that under the compliance order being used by the US Environmental agency virtually anyone could be told to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and penalties ...over ordinary home construction work ..Is this yet another punishment meeted out to land owners/home owners..

I actually heard something along these lines the other day. One guy was proclaiming (and I couldn't tell if he was serious or playing the devils advocate) that because we have to pay property taxes, it is the state that owns the property and we are merely leasing it. When we put a property up for sale, we have to pay all kinds of taxes when its sold.
I got a little tired of listening to him because he was rather obnoxious, but I almost thought his opinion had a bit of merit.
