So, what do you think of this?

http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/28/us/massachusetts-detective-dashcam/index.html

Basically, an off duty detective pulled someone over who made a bad turn and went ballistic.  He told the man that he was lucky he didn't put a bullet in his head and was screaming at him.  Police officers on duty arrived and calmly spoke to the man and told him he was free to go.

But this off duty cop lost it and actually mentioned shooting him!  AND, he was in trouble for the same thing a few years ago when he said something to the effect of we should take your brother to the railroad tracks and tell him to lay down.

The policeman is on leave for the incident that was recorded and placed on youtube.  You can read the whole article from the link.

Just curious how others feel about this and if this is type of behavior isn't why people at times are afraid to comply?

He does need to go.

I would like to give big props to the driver for the way he handled himself and not escalating the situation to the point of getting out of control.

This guy needs to go.  End of the discussion.  Sounds like he is on the verge of a mental break.  With any luck, the cops on duty reported this.

Unfortunately, just like in other areas of life, there are policemen who do not have the right temperament to be in that line of work.
Sadly, I think some bullies join the police force because of the power it gives them.
It's sad because I know there are a lot of police officers who really do want to keep the peace and now they are all being seen as out of control jerks by many in society.

The man in this incident should be relieved of active duty and possibly given a desk job.
