Guns Banned?

I cannot imagine how Griz would have dispatched the 2 pigs he slaughtered the other day...with a knife?Much suffering it would bring the poor critter.
Many times we hace had to use  different calibers of guns for different things throughout the years.Animals that stalked my little girl and killed my dog and  30 plus chickens.Living where we do we have them for self-protection,(the law takes forever to get here).We have also had to end the suffering of an animal a time or 2,without something what would we do?Hit it in the head with a rock and hope we killed it?
The saying say "Outlaw guns and then only criminals will have guns".Stricter application for permits required safety classes locked cabinets when children are residing there.Wait a Minute! Why weren't her Guns in a locked cabinet?she failed her son greatly and indirectly caused the life of the children to be lost.She is guilty also,she had to have known better.If my child had a problem I would know and seek help.

I used to think who needs an assault rifle too. Then when I look at things like the L.A. riots & Katrina and I think if I was there and trying to protect my family would I rather try and ask any mob to please leave us alone? or protect ourselves with a 6 round revolver? or have a rifle with the capability to shoot 30 rounds per clip or more and reload clip after clip until any mob would think twice about coming my direction?
What are the chances of ever needing an assault weapon in the case I described? very minimal, but it does happen and it is a very real possibility.

Oh goodness, cars and assault rifles----  hm.  quite an argument. LOL

No one is saying to ban ALL guns but if you need a semi automatic rifle to chase off something after your chickens, I am a little afraid for you.  This would mean your farm is hunted by a whole massive pack of something.

You certainly could protect yourself and your livestock with something that shot 10 rounds or less I assume.

You can get a handgun with a clip of say 15 bullets. Once as the 1st shot is fired the mob scrambles. You don't need to squeeze off 15 rounds to make a point. I am pro-gun but I do wonder why an assault rifle is needed by civilans.

When we are left fending for ourselves and the government collapses then you can come back and say, "I told you so"

I understand that thinking too. If a mob came to my door, as crazy as that sounds, it is nice to know there is a way to protect oneself and family.
On the other hand it is unlikely any mobs will be storming our doors, and just standing on your roof holding a gun  I think would be a deterrent for most mobs.
Or in the case of "a zombie apocalypse", we are all f***ed anyway, so what's the point?
