I do like where you are coming from. I think you make a good point.
Gun Control was defintely one of the issues I was thinking about. I don't think any politician on the Left or the Right gets it that the American people really aren't looking to get 'their money's worth' out of Washington by getting more and more complex and convoluted laws that only a lawyer can interpret. I think the healthcare law is probably a perfect example of something that is way overwritten. I'm in favor of a Plain English clause that says any high school graduate should be able to understand a piece of legislation. You may remember that one of my gripes has long been that this country was run more efficiently when our representatives were farmers, merchants, and land surveyors rather than MBAs and lawyers.
(No offense intended to any MBAs or lawyers. I realize I may have an overly simplistic view of the world.)
.” I think what they don't get is that people really don't want to be told what to do - in their homes”
Does this includes Gun Control or is it pick and choose?
Been Working for 17 Hours, so this may ent over my head.
Hm. Interesting. As a Republican, I'm hoping that we can get our act together by the next election. I am completely sick of the tea party and the far right opinions of the party and hope we can stay on track to be more middle men. And yes, if the Republicans do that, they will be much more electible in the future. I'm not sure I've heard onpoint. Looks like an NPR program and I do listen to NPR frequently.
