Have you seen the photos of those rats who are fed GMO grain opposed to the ones that are fed 'normal' grain ?
The GMO fed rats have globular fat.
No doubt the obesity problem is a combination of factors which include both diet and exercise.
A lot of obesity and diet related issues may be due to lack of exercise, but an equal amount can be attributed to the body simply not functioning properly. When the body starts attacking itself, as in autoimmune diseases, there's often nothing that works. I see it every day.
I've no doubt that the chemicals/hormones, etc that is put in our food plays a large part of it.
Personally, I think a lot of the obesity and other diet related issues have a lot to do with a lack of exercise, but equally as important is all of the garbage that is allowed in our food. That stuff has to have an impact.
Very compelling video, and as one recently diagnosed with insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome, I certainly find what he says to be very interesting.
I hate how video games have taken over the universe!! I have to really limit it. My boys are out and about a lot and do many sporty things---- but I think they'd sit and play video games until they turned into mummies if I let them! I have no idea what the draw is. Same for youtube. Wow, my kids think it is great to watch stuff on youtube and will attempt to spend a chunk of time doing so.
I say---- get outside and play!
So, I do agree that lifestyle of kids has changed. And if kids are inactive, they often grow up to be inactive adults.
Type 2 diabetes is so lifestyle associated that we do have control over that.
Interesting.
Maybe its my age and the fact that I come from a time when fat was not the norm. The difference? The amount of exercise on got. Used to be you could eat what you wanted but you were so active that it never got a chance to pool on the body. Many times diabetes disappears with the weight. Our lifestyle is not conducive to healthy lifestyle.imo
