A sad group in my opinion. Didn't like that occupy movement when it was in vogue, let alone after the fact.
it cracks me up when they claim that they were not trying to be intimidating when they showed up "armed" and made statements like "I will not be taken alive". if they weren't trying to be intimidating, why did they not show up armed with someone with a shred of intellect and sit down to negotiate?
Fortunately, it looks as if this part of this is over. The last guy was hauled in/off yesterday but not before saying 'I have a gun' and threatening suicide.
These people are so ill prepared and Barb is right. they've completely lost site of what they wanted to accomplish, but I think they did that before they gathered.
It's too late for them to go home and yeah, they need to rethink their options, but they don't have a lot of them... they've already been indicted, along with the others that have been arrested, so there's no way they're going to just "walk out of there and go home"... The more stunts they pull and the more damage they do, the worse they'll fare when it's over; after all, that's "our" property they're destroying...
They all say they're ready to die and I can't help but think they're going to push the situation until someone else does end up dying. These last 4 have completely lost sight of the original "cause" and aren't doing anything useful, at all.
But then, neither did any of the rest of them, accomplish anything, yet one man ended up dead...
They need to go home. The media doesnt even cover them anymore. Might want to rethink their options.
