Thank Goodness!! These awful people were stopped from spreading their message of hate. Could you imagine going to your son's funeral and having to listen to these people. Having to see their hateful, cruel signs! Just awful for the families. Courts have ruled in their favor on free speech grounds. A fallen Marine's father sued them and lost. Despite the hate and bile they spewed at his son's funeral, he was ordered to pay the WBC legal costs. This is a national outrage. I do not consider these people Christian. Their message is of the Devil. Not God.
"The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose."

Patriot Guard to stand against Westboro Baptist Church at funeral of Army Spc Tomlinson
May 26, 5:21 PM · Mary Baker - Shreveport Motorcycle Travel Examiner
Army Spc. Joshua Tomlinson, 24, of Dubberly, was among five U.S. soldiers killed on Tuesday in Kabul, Afghanistan. The Army said a bomber detonated a vehicle near a U.S. convoy. The bombing, which was part of the Taliban insurgence, killed five U.S. soldiers, a Canadian military officer and at least 12 civilians. Another four dozen people were wounded. Tomlinson had been in Afghanistan for eight months and his tour of duty was scheduled to end in July. Tomlinson was assigned to a Special Troops Battalion in Germany. Family members said he and his wife had no children; their baby died shortly after birth about a year ago.
Tomlinson's father and his widow on Thursday flew to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, where the fallen soldiers are being returned. They will accompany his remains to Minden in Webster Parish where services will be held Saturday.
Protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas are expected to be in Minden during the funeral. The Church travels across the country saying U.S. soldiers are being killed as punishment for the United States' tolerance of homosexuality. Minden police have notified the Tomlinson family of the protest, which law officers will keep back from the church where the funeral will be held.
A visit to the Westboro Baptist Church website posts a schedule of pickets, however, this funeral is not posted. A similar funeral in Ft. Leavenworth reads: "Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery N. 7th St. & Metropolitan St. WBC will picket the funeral of Col. John M. McHugh to remind this nation that "Except the Lord build the house, They labor in vain that build it; Except the Lord keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain" Psa 127:1. The Lord no longer builds the American house; nor does the Lord watch over and protect America. These soldiers are dying for the homosexual and other sins of America. God is now America's enemy, and God himself is fighting against America."
KTBS News reported the story and a video link is provided on their site. The Patriot Guard will also be at the services to provide a barrier for the family. Details will be provided as soon as they are available. Services are scheduled for Saturday at First Baptist Church of Minden, 12:30.
Tensions are running high and reaction of local area bikers is as expected. A recent mass email from a friend read "Good morning friends...
"Sending out a call to all my friends that are in the Patriot guard and to all my biker friends and their friends! I have just found out that one of our soldiers who was killed In Afganastan Whos funeral will be in Minden This Saturday is gonna be protested by the group out of Kansas that goes around protesting the war at Our Soldiers funerals. "All motorcyclist need to mount up an attend an arrmed forces funeral in Minden Saturday. the Patriot guard will be i attendance by request of the family. the radical church group from Kansas is expected to attend and protest. We need to help stop them!!!!!!!!!!!"
