The Internet Public Library (ipl.org) will supply you with English language versions of almost any newspaper in the world. I figure they all have their own spin, but like the fable of the blind men and the elephant, if you can piece together disinformation from enough different perspectives, you might be able to assemble something close to the truth. I find it hard to believe that any of the Fox puppet shows are any less spin resistant than say NPR or the San Franciso Chronicle.
Hey, a B movie actor with Perry's taste in hair care products became a two term President not that long ago and is now held to be the epitome of RNC values. If you'd told me eleven months before the last election an African-American, Chicago politician with a name that rhymed with Osama was going to try to get elected with a running mate named Clinton, I would have told his views would never be relevant.
If you all watched something more than MSNBC you may see the truth
oh I see you are now running the Current events forum ...well its still a free country with free speech ...you attack me because you know what I say is the truth ... I suggest you take a look at the facts with a bit of intelligence ,and try to not attack .for no reason when someone on the right has an opinion you don't like ...I speak the truth ...and I stick by it ..so Mrs Prince go suck a wet lettuce .
I don’t understand why this is relevant.
Perry stands no chance of getting elected. Perry and Biden have so much in common but are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Your never going to be President, you don’t know when to keep your mouth shut, very few people take you serious, you are and always will be your biggest obstacle, (the list can go on for ever). If Perry had even the most remote chance of getting elected, I would be concerned about his views. The fact is, he doesn’t which makes his views moot.
He certainly does speak often about his ability to create jobs stating "just look at what I did in Texas". And how right you are about Canada having to make similar decisions in the very near future. I actually live in an oil rich province myself. The city I live in is ruled (quite literally) by oil& gas. No question the biggest employers here. As a result we are currently enjoying a rather strong economy, but I cannot give our current gov't the credit. As you so rightly said, we just happen to have the good fortune of living on top of fossil fuels. What the long term impact will be is worrisome for certain.
I go back and forth as to whether or not I think Obama will be a one term President. I struggle with believing that any of the current Republican candidates will find themselves electable. Personally, I think that right now it could go either way. It's going to be an interesting election to be be sure.
