"It could have been worse" is a constant thing I hear around here, regarding giving Obama another 4.

To me, that statement is obvious.  Of course it could have been worse.  The other side of the story is that it could have been better.  I think people are convinced knowing what they got is better than risking anything.  There was no chance that Bush was getting another go, so they had to choose something different.  The better speaker of the 2 got the nod.  Now, most that voted for the man in the first place are almost convinced that this (Obama) will be somewhat better than another option right now.

Speaking of the economy, even Obama's Bernanke said the FED "could have done more for the economy".  (I don't know what he has in mind and don't want to know, but to me that is a clear admission of not getting the job done.)  With the economy being at the forefront of issues this country faces, it seems to me that yet another change is a viable option.  Unfortunately, it looks like the majority of the country doesn't see things that way.

Hillary and Condi? LOL, no. They are as different as night and day, or black and white! Did I really say that? EW

Both are strong women born to lead. I see neither taking a back seat to the other.

I dont think that would be fair to either of them actually.

I'm a fiscal conservative and a social liberal-to-moderate. I just wish there was a candidate that would fill that bill, but unfortunately, we've got polar opposites to choose from.

That said, as I feel that the economy, unemployment, healthcare-reform, tax-policy overhaul & illegal-immigration, is much more important that the social issues of today, I've got to go with the party that has the best interests of the country in mind (ie: Romney-Ryan).

BO and his financial advisers haven't done a good job, nor even a fair job, in reference to getting the economy back on track. Not saying it should be solved by now, but we should at least know what the guys future plans are, not just "We need to fix the economy!" hip-hip-hoora! "We need to lower the unemployment rate!" hip-hip-hoora! "We need to have universal healthcare!" hip-hip-hoora!!!

But what's failed to happen, is that the Hip-Hip-Hoora folks, haven't asked how it's going to get done (ie: What's the plan Mr. President?), nor has the WH offered up any sort of plan-of-action.

Surely you can't US to support a guy that WE feel is incompetent (at best), any more than you supported Bush several years back.

So far survey sez:

Being a photogenic sock puppet for corrupt corporate and financial interests makes you twice as electable as intellignce and proven patriotism. Not surprising. Disappointing but not surprising.
What people don't seem to get is, manipulating your *personal* investments to successfully avoid taxes and profiteer from overseas companies is a whole different skill set from running a *national* economy. In fact, they're almost diametrically opposeed. Getting rich from hedge funds means you need a whole lot of losers to make one winner. Running a nations economy successfully means you need a whole lot of winners. Romney's every instinct is going to go against what's needed to maximize earnings for everybody.

Unless you're voting for 'social conservatism', meaning you think everyone needs to think and behave the way you do. In which case, you need to go back and examine why this country was founded in the first place.

The policy did not get up to this point, it was spending and some other issues. Electing the same person how has not done anything to improve America is I don't get.

So what if your a woman, what does that have to do with voting for Obama or Romney?

Dont feel bad. I have just a hard a time trying to figure why anyone would vote the same policies back in that are responsible for us ending up where we are. So I guess that makes us even, and then given the fact that I am female, pretty much clinches it for me.

I voted because like I've said time and time again, it's an Americans right to vote and if I had to choose, I'd choose Cain/Rice....The better ticket would've been Clinton/Rice...lol Now that's a ticket for your A$$.....

Funny when R's who are honest will tell you the bad things Bush did but will also defend the good things. D's never say Obama did anything bad and defend him as if he was perfect.

My vote is not so much against Obama but it is for a Republican platform.

Blinded by the light,

I'm having more and more difficulty understanding how people (in general) are okay giving President Obama another 4 years, when he has really underperformed through the course of his 1st term.

I gage success by the "Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago" question. The answer is NO.

Is the country better off than it was 4 years ago? The answer is NO.

Is the economy improving at present? The answer is NO.

However, even with 17 strikes against him, in the bottom of the 32nd inning, people are still backing Obama (regardless of the pi$$-poor job he's done).

Are you voting FOR Obama, or AGAINST Romney? There's a distinct difference, but I think you know that.

Personally, my vote will be AGAINST Obama (I'm not exactly thrilled to death with the Romney-Ryan ticket, but they are better than the alternative).
