Protest for the Whales
If you love the wildlife as much as I have seen on here regarding the oil spill will you make a Protest about the US support ....ie OBama Support for lifting the 24 year old ban on the slaughtering of the Whales, www.Whales.org also Green peace are doing a big protest .OBama has said he will lead the way to lifting the ban, so Japan, Iceland and Norway can start the killing again .....Please help us stop this ...I have a journal up regarding it ..
Thank you to all who signed the petitions , it was great to know how many cared about it, if you want an update Independant Online and the NY times have pieces ,if you google you will find plenty of info on the ongoing meetings.
ther has been no decision yet unless I am not getting it , its a 5 day meeting ...
The internet petitions were and are being accepted,My update is that the meeting is being held now 6.15 Pacific time , its in Morocco .

Its not really for food , its for ambergris for perfumes and oil , none of it is necessary .They were on the endangered list ..there has been a ban in place the last 24 years, tomorrow the Whaling comission makes its decision, OBama has been supporting the liftng of the ban which would allow Japan, Norway .Iceland to go back to killing the Whales, I hope he will be able to explain to his 2 girls why he supported that , even pregnant Whales and Babies ....sickening I will be interested to hear if they do lift the Ban what Green peace is going to do ....
I just now read this and I immediately went to the site and signed the petitioin.
Whales are such magnificient animals and the thought of killing them for food or any reason is deplorable. What is this world coming too, is there no respect for our wildlife or any life for that matter?

It will be listened to ... we have demanded they listen to it.... its about us not them..We the people....we will sail out and like the israeli's stop them .....
I wrote to the white house also and hope others found ways to express concern for saving the whales.
The message is getting out, but as to whether it will be listened to is another matter.
I know there are so many issues going on with child abuse, domestic, political corruption, healthcare, unemployment, housing, rising costs, oil spill and so much more. What ever we can do is important. Caring is important. A heart felt prayer/thought offered up for the best.

I know that I sent my emails both to give my opinion that the whales need our help to the appropriate people and to my friends on my email list and in my neighborhood. I put the website in my mood for a couple of days. Hopefully every little bit has helped.

The last I heard, and I could certainly be wrong on this, but it is my understanding that internet petitions are not accepted because they have to be signed by hand. With that said, I encourage everyone to flood the white house with emails and even follow it up with letters. I agree this should not happen.

Thats right fmagi thank you, I have all the folks I know sending e-mails and petitions friends from MH who live in India and Iran , Canada ...I wonder if the media will run anything on Monday the deadline, or will we just have to go to the internet ...

Thank you adgal for putting the whole article on my journal aswell as here...I think where helpless, innocent animals are concerned we will always see eye to eye ... I am really hoping that he gets over loaded with protests then doesnt support it, after all he must be speaking for the People , I doubt any Americans would want Whales and their babies slaughtered ...And where is the dumb stupid media .... even Fox news ......
I want to say this publically as well....you and I do not often see eye to eye and have had our moments to be sure. I want to tell you that I for one appreciate you bringing this information to the forefront, as I was not aware this was going on. We definately agree on this issue, and I think it is a good thing you are doing here in posting this. Thank you, and if the whales could speak, I am certain they would thank you as well.
