There seems to be a lot of anti police sentiment around nowadays , we have had a few threads here about tasers etc. Police  do have a difficult job and most times protect the public ..Will the public still be protected aswell as we are if we curb their rights to use some force where needed....I am sure this over the top cop will be severly reprimanded as he should be ..

I am concerned with the increase in violence and lack of control that continues to be a problem amongst PO's.  They have a highly stressful job and I wonder how they are being helped with anger management and with dealing with stressful situations.

A hopeful positive outcome I think is to examine these things and consider what can be done to help them.  There is no excuse for going outside a person's rights and abusing them.  If we excuse it for the above reasons, then we are in a "free for all".  Our kinder and gentler nation is slipping away....sad.

I saw this as well.  It turned out the guy they beat was completely innocent of any wrong doing.  I still think that most cops are really great and do do a very difficult job.  The problem is that those that aren't have the ability, because of their positions, to be very abusive.  I heard they are on suspension right now pending a full investigation?  I mean, they kicked the guy while he was already down.
