Sink Hole in Guatemala
Did any of you hear about that sink hole in Guatemala that took out an intersection, half a block and swallowed a building? They showed pics on the news last night and it was HUGE! I think they said a hundred something dead and several still missing? Wow! Can you just imagine being swallowed up by a sink hole, talk about terrifying!
I saw that too....unbelievable!
I wonder if a lot of sink holes will be popping up because of the oil leak? I mean, doesn't it make sense, that if we drain stuff out from under the earths surface that eventually it has to cave in some where?

caregiver222......I agree! Seemed too perfect to be accidental. I've seen a lot of them but never one this perfectly round.
I know! That was sooo weird! We have sinkholes here sometimes, but nothing like that!
The hole was amazingly cylindrical, too perfect, as if it had been excavated a thousand years ago, and simply capped with a plate of earth.
I saw the pics on TV -- that thing looked bottomless. Anything that went into it, is gone for good. I hadn't heard about dead/missing people. That's a tragedy.
