Your the one who started to sling stuff at Romney and now you have a change of heart?
It's human nature to argue or differ in opinion, and you're right. It isn't accomplishing much. The main reason it isn't accomplishing much is because we allow congress and the senate to have minds of their own and not represent the masses. They stick the party line and don't allow themselves any flexibility.
The 3rd parties are becoming so popular because of flexibility. These people like the idea of some liberal policies and some conservative policies.
With that being said, that's why lawyers are involved. I'm not a fan of lawyers, but they do serve a purpose. When we the people make our own laws, other peoples rights have to be a consideration and fortunately/unfortunately a court of law gets to decided that for us.
I think it's easy to sling crap at all and any of the politicians, Republicans, Democrats, left, right or in-between.
Where good does that accomplish? It has bickering with each other instead of focusing on the very real problems that are bringing our country down.
It's from allowing corporate greed to thrive making money from the wars we wage, from sending our jobs overseas, from calling corporations people and money free speech.
I'm disgusted at the whole lot.
"Illegal and unethical".... Interesting that that would be brought up. How legal or ethical is it to make people pay for products/services that they cannot use?
The government calls it taxation, and since the government labeled it, it is completely legal. You've got no choice in the matter.... how do you like that? If that doesn't bother you so much, Romney's bank account or how he conducted business shouldn't either... if it was legal.
Not calling out all libs on this, but it's becoming more clear that libs seem real concerned with law, ethics and morality when it serves them or benefits them. (Both wings do, I guess.) The fact is, you can't have a set of morals and ethics that only work when you want them too. That's where law steps in, but there is a problem with that as well. People try to let morals stand in the way of law....
Did not realize that the above was this weeks talking points from the DNC. Why not have an original comment on something not put out by the DNC?
How abotu we talk about Obama's past drug use? Illegal and unethical. Or maybe we can talk about Obama not willing to chastize some of his biggest donars who are vile in the hate they speak. Legal but unethical.
There was a time when people believed in something called ethics.
Whether what Romney has done is illegal or not, it is unethical and hypocritical.
The man who said he loved firing people is not about to help increase jobs for those in need. The economy he is talking about improving is the one that continues to feed his and his cronies bank accounts.
Remember his baby, Bain Capital ?
The system that made Mitt Romney's fortunes at Bain Capital is the same one largely responsible for the greatest concentration of the nation’s income and wealth at the very top since the Gilded Age of the nineteenth century.
"Make a law that has to have someone do that, until then it's legal."
That pretty much sums up in a nutshell the giant wrong turn our country took about 100-150 years ago, when we started electing lawyers to write our laws.
Our country was founded by people from all walks of life - merchants, farmers, land surveyors, silversmiths. The laws they wrote were simple and clear. "Self-evident" you might say. Things like the separation of church and state, the right to peacefully assemble were clearly and simply stated.
Nowadays you need an army of lawyers and accountants to help you interpret (or evade) the law. You need a document the size of a city phone book to ensure we can afford not to turn someone away from an ER. Our laws are written so you need a lawyer to understand them. (Yeah, I know I'm oversimplifying and mike will probably come by and slap me upside the head.)
The people who signed the Declaration of Independence pledged:
"our lives,
our *fortunes*
and our sacred honor."
This is something so basic, 23 years ago some guy on the other side of the world with a couple bags of groceries understood it.

I doubt Romney has a clue what that video is about.
Precisely.... as it stands now, it's legal. For me, I don't have to worry about Swiss bank accounts. A kid selling lemonade on the corner can cash my paychecks....
Soros.... sheesh. You won't hear too many on the left complain about ol George, unless of course he change party affiliation.
Make a law that has to have someone do that, until then it's legal.
Romney doesn not bet against America, do you know who goes? Soros. How much did Soros make in this ecomic down turn? Billions. Yet he is a huge lib funding Obama. Obama will not return the money he had donated to him, nor will he say anything bad about him.
As it was before as it is now...It's about the economy and Obama has not done anything, excuse me, he has done something...made it worse.
And it's always smelled like tax evasion - for decades. If you want to stash your cash offshore, go become a citizen of Switzerland or Bermuda.
NAFTA.... NAFTA was the ground work for business leaving this country. Along with that, so did the money leave here and go to Swiss bank accounts. Also, Swiss bank accounts have been around for decades.... decades....
