Three women arrested for a fight over a cigarette

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A cigarette causes more than cancer at a Columbus Waffle House.
According to Columbus police reports, Shemkia Wingfield lit a cigarette inside the Macon Road restaurant late Saturday night. That's when another woman asked her to put it out.
The altercation became physical when Wingfield threw her cigarette at the woman, then two other women, Beatrice Willis and Candace Bryant, jumped on the victim.
The brawl continued out into the parking lot where police found the victim with minor injuries.
Wingfield, Willis and Bryant are charged with simple battery and are being held in the Muscogee County Jail.

You're right about one thing, common sense seems to have gone out the window. First, the best way to have handled this would probably would have been to discreetly go the manager and ask them to address the situation.
I don't know how the woman asked her to put out her cigarette, if she was snotty or not, it's very possible. What concerns me is not only the lack of common sense but also manners and common decency.

Ah hell, why not? This garbage doesnt suprise me at all. And adgal, you can bet some alcohol was involved. Waffle House and drunkeness are synonymous. I think its the only way one can get their system able to absorb the food, honestly.

If there is a no-smoking law, you dont light up. If there is one, and you dont like smoking....what in the hell are you doing in a facility that allows smoking?

I have to wonder how much alcohol was involved? Hard to believe grown women would behave this way sober....
I guess my first question would be, is there a smoking section in this restaurant? That would be one of the deciding factors as to how I view this one. Here in Fl, no smoking in any public building. But I do know that in Ohio, they have smoking sections still in alot of the restaurants.
Other than that! There is surely enuff rudeness to go around with this one. I am amazed how adults act so classless these days.
