Next attempt will be similar to the one they tried to do 2 weeks ago only has been modified. They will cut the riser and fit a cement box over it. No guarantee it will work either and no guarantee the drill that takes two months will work either. We could end up with this forever. I just feel sick. Worst case scenario is they will not be able to stop it. Now that is scary.
This is upsetting. The Gulf Coast is such a wonderful natural resource. There are quite a few wildlife sanctuaries in the area. Hopefully something will work. We desperately need a way to clean these awful things up. Our coastal areas are too precious and our wildlife is fragile. We really both.
My hubby was telling me today of a Mexican oil well, that had a similar issue back in the '70's -- spewed oil for 9 months; I sort of remember it, but not a lot........
