You hit that one on the head. Hubby used to stay mad for a couple of days -- he didn't remember what he initially got mad over; just remembered that he was supposed to be mad......
We have 15 yrs on you; eventually, most things aren't worth fighting over.
"I think it is because after a few minutes we forget what the original topic was."
Hahaha...Good one R...
30 Years here. One of the advantages of being married for so long over Newly Weds is the arguments don’t last long. I think it is because after a few minutes we forget what the original topic was.
Both my hubby and I can do that...... Thank goodness, we're both getting older and a bit forgetful; not to mention that we've been married forever, so we tend to stick with "current" issues (last 45 years) ......... LOL
"....As for the debate, you can't give 100% specifics in 2 mins,..."
You give my wife 2 minutes and she can bring up everything I did wrong from today all the way back to when I was in my Mothers womb. She wouldn’t even need a Moderator. At the end of the 2 minutes she would ask me “just what the Hell is your Rebuttal”?
I think I am going to order one for ALL my grandchildren for Christmas! and their parents too! lol
I already have a few. They work GREAT!
Nah, Romney graduated from flip flop flim flammer to I got a new etch a sketch. I hope no one is planning on buying for their child for christmas, thanks to romney they be on backorder./s
Well, as a moderate Republican . . . I like the moderate Romney. I'm okay with his appeasing the far right because otherwise I'd be stuck with one of those guys as my party's choice. This was a positive flip flop that I had hoped would happen.
Obama is not immune to flip flopping but Romney seems to be doing more of it, in my humble opinion.
So anyway, Romney evolved into a moderate because he knows all the hardcore Right who he had to appease to get where he is, will never vote for Obama,so he's not losing any votes there.
Maybe I missed something, but I never did hear how he's going to give his billionaire buddies tax cuts without raising the deficit. Saying this will create jobs is sillieness since Europe is going down the toilet and China continues to slow. What are we going to do, sell our goods on credit? Ask Germany how much they've recovered from Greece.
Any good prep school debate team captain could have argued rings around both candidates.
But debate skills aren't why I'm voting.
Yes, the 12 mil will happen regardless of who is president, and like you Im a little ticked at our man but its a mere setback. There are other debates and as bad as it might feel, Romney gave lots of fodder to the dems last night to use on their campaign trail. And now the etch a sketching is over cause the whole nation has heard his lies and if he changes at this point he loses all credibility imo. Maybe Obama just gave him enuff room to hang himself? And as far as showing respect for the office of the president, yeah that sounds good and that is the way it used to be and still should be, but frankly its not. I heard Sununu today, a surrogate for Romney actually call the president lazy. Now as mad as that made me, its a gift that keeps on giving and that is the kind of thing that destroys any plusses that Romney might of made last night imo.
That's all good and well, but where was he LAST NIGHT?
I so agree!...Everyone here knows my support for the President but he felt short of getting Romney at the time he needed to. It was important for him to do this last night in front of 60 million people...I still have faith that he will win. Everyone needs a little knock down from the top to get their head back in the game full force. He seems like his head is back in the game so as they same Game on: Romney 1 on reigniting his base and re introducing himself and a GREAT performance last night) but he scores a 0 for lack of substance and a sure plan or even somewhat of a plan. Obama BIG FAT 0 for delivery hands down but he did me proud in his vision and his plan to get the country moving forward.......BTW the 12 million jobs Romney says he's going to produce is a Definite no matter who wins the election all due to the policies of the Obama Administration
I always remember that Republicans and Democrats are BOTH Americans. Both groups have flaws and strengths, supporters and and enemies. But in the end, whomever is president represents our country and deserves respect.
I don't know what the answer is to get away from al the contentiousness and bad feelings.
I hate feeling like it is a win lose situation for everyone. Will it EVER be a win win for us all? More thought of mine drifts to some sort of in the middle independent that would bring us all together.
dreaming, I know.
"Republicans "Flip-Flop"
Democrats "Evolve" "
Democrats do it with class. It is all in the subtleties.
Oh Really! There is a God!!!!
He has his speech writer and teleprompter back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miner setback is all it is. Big Bird was the only one given a pink slip so far. LOL
LOL!!
I must say, this really has been fun. Not laughing at Obama's expense, mind you, just at how we are all responding.
Gotta love you all, specially on the left side of the room :-)
I think the pres was like the rest of us and could not believe the new Mitt Romney. He came to the game with a whole slew of new and never heard of ideas. My guess is Obama was in shock! I know I was! Will the real Mitt Romney please stand up, and 7 of em appear and procede to fight with each other. LOL
He was absent last night for sure, hell it was his anniversary so maybe he was thinkin about what he was gettin after the fight! I dunno, but hes back now and on top of his game. Lets just hope we dont have another mishap like last night anytime soon.... Fun Fun!!!
Here we go again with that flip-flop stuff again.
Republicans "Flip-Flop"
Democrats "Evolve"
Quit it already.
It's old.
Do you not SEE the double-standard OOZING from your "flip-flop" statements???
See!!! I just KNEW you that Obama would win the election in 2008!!!
(see teko... it's easy!)
