My doctor actually recommends dairy products, because they have a lot of protein and vitamin B12, both of which I have absorption issues. Of course, all things in moderation.
LOL, I see a rise in breast feeding coming! What next?
Cow's milk is meant to put 100 lb. on a calf in its first year. My daughter was fortunate we had a neighbor with goats.
The farmers bill should just get passed and we won't have to worry about it...
Hubby LOVES his milk, he would be my biggest customer. :0)
Me...unless it's in coffee, or cereal...I could care less.
I don't drink any kind of milk but if I did I think it would be unsweetened almond milk. Rice milk has too many carbs for me.
Oh, you and I would make ourselves the same kind of lunch rivll!
I like cheese too. No better meal to me than a little bit of cheese and fruit, maybe an olive or two.
A mediterranean forever.
Pediatricians are behind the times as they just go on and on about getting enough milk at those kiddie appointments!
But I gave it up years ago. Now cheese---- different story. Great pleasure in life but only in moderation. I have a waistline to consider and arteries to keep clean!
I agree with you, but soy and rice milk which is what I use will go up too. Droughts have devastated crops.
I am considering giving up food altogether...
One thing I am not worried about is the price of milk.
Generally, I think milk's a bad food choice - for kids and adults.
If you research it a little you might be very surprised by what you learn about milk.
haha NG. I mean, MilkMaid. You could consider just taking the teets to the streets with you.
LOL!!

If there's any truth to this...I'm going to stock up and sell it on the black market. My street name will be "the milk maid". ;0)
It's going to be a little tough to undertake though, with shelf lives and all.
Yeesh, now people are going to be not only buying guns while they can get them but cows too! I hope it is a scare tactic as 8 dollar a gallon milk would seriously crimp this milk drinking, cheese eating, yogurt loving family!
I think this is more about causing panic or deflection.... Anything to keep us from looking at whats really happening.
Milk prices have gone up, so has beef. Feed prices for cattle is up, so anything beef should go up accordingly.
I know they didn't get into the details and specifics but if there really is this intense push for the Gov. to settle before the New Year, even though it won't really make a huge difference to the country being held hostage so to speak, then bringing in food prices at this point might get ppl riled up to start putting on the pressure or panicking or whatever just to keep the game going.
Maybe I am being paranoid. :-0
I just did..It doesn't explain it all..Thx Ri!...
Maybe it is a scare tactic...look at that link I posted about the fiscal cliff.
I gotta call my dairy to see how much they may go up....If Milk is going to possibly be $6-$8 in the store,,I can only imagine!....
