Papua New Guinea on the early news hit by a 6.3 today ...we had another in CA 2 days ago , we seem to be getting more I know folks are stocking up on cans and water ...
I have not watched the news yet today, but someone told me that Argentina had a quake? Does anyone know anything about that? Yesterday?
I think you are right Barb this Global warming ,is being slowly debunked, Danny Glover is just another like Oprah Winfrey jumping on the Stars bandwagon, they have such big money none of it affects them I bet Oprah wont be using the heathcare system or Danny Glover nor any of this administration , wonder why not ... yet they are thrusting it on us ..mandatory ..Hypoctrics ....
We had a small one in Va. some years back. Some areas felt it more than where I am. I have never known to have one in my life time.
So you do know the book. Yes, and is predicted to be that way again. We had a hurricane here a couple years ago where the winds from it were unheard of. They are getting stronger. They say the cold we been having here in fl and elsewhere is due to elnino? I am sure I just butchered that word! Sorry! Famine, pestulance, diseases, etc. It has not been this cold for this long in florida I think they said in 50 years? I still am wearing goose bumps and all the palm trees are dead! Yuck! All brown where it used to be green.
Earthquakes already happened in the Bible Times, way before gloabal warming, that is why I said " I believe in Santa Claus" referring to Glover's statement.
Archaeological evidence suggests that the earthquake "in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel" (Amos 1:1)---sometime between 749 to 760-may have had a magnitude greater than 7.0, possibly even 8.0 or higher.
Actually, I did a study one time on Revelations. the last book of the Bible. It describes these kinds of things and it scares the beejeebies out of me. Some call it global warming and climate change but Revelations describes these disasters to a T. I dont know how many of you all believe in it, but is a good read for sure.
Actor Danny Glover believes that the Haitian earthquake was caused by climate change and global warming:
Yeah, and I believe in Santa Claus!
Seriously, me too! I remember we had one in Ohio when I lived there. I remember how disoriented I was walking across the floor trying to get out of the house and it was just a small one! We have had 2 out in the gulf since I have lived in Fl. Now that is scary cause there could have been a tsunami. I worry about that and it may be enuff to get me to go back north. Hurricanes dont bother me cause we can out run them!
My Grandfather lived in California and I used to visit him regularly before he passed. He was in Santa Barbera...so beautiful there. I was in one small earthquake there...it wasn't a serious one or anything. It was scary though. Glad you are ok Margy.
I was in bed at 4am on sat morn and the bed shook ..no uit wasnt the Dh it was an earthquake in California .
Our whole world seems to be going through so much in terms of natural disasters, climate change, etc. Actually if you look back through history, every hundred or several hundred years or so these things happen. Today however we have almost instant news, and of course global news so we hear about things that wouldn't have been brought to our attention in the past. I am glad Venezuala wasn't hit to the extent of Haiti.
