Welcome to Boston, Mr. Rumsfeld. You Are Under Arrest.

http://warisacrime.org/content/welcome-boston-mr-rumsfeld-you-are-under-arrest

9/20/11

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has been stripped of legal immunity for acts of torture against US citizens authorized while he was in office.   The 7th Circuit made the ruling in the case of two American contractors who were tortured by the US military in Iraq after uncovering a smuggling ring within an Iraqi security company.  The company was under contract to the Department of Defense.   The company was assisting Iraqi insurgent groups in the "mass acquisition" of American weapons.  The ruling comes as Rumsfeld begins his book tour with a visit to Boston on Wednesday, and as new, uncensored photos of Abu Ghraib spark fresh outrage across Internet.  Awareness is growing that Bush-era crimes went far beyond mere waterboarding.

Okay, I am dumber than a crap-hammer.... but what I am getting is that these 2 guys were caught in a suspect ring of gun/arms runners, or something?  Is that right?  If so, I would damn well guess that the military is going to interrogate to find out exactly what happened, right?

Now, my opinion (which means zilch).  War *****... it always will.  There are people who profit off of war all of the time.... that ***** more than the wars do.  There is no dollar amount that can be put on an American soldiers life.... never better be either.

There area about 190 countries or so in the UN right now.  If war breaks out, guess who goes?  We do....  I can't name 190 countries... I bet they do not contribute the same way we do....

If an American gets caught doing something suspicious, he'd better be looked at, and damn closely as well.  Being interrogated by the US armed forces probably ***** big time.... Don't get yourself into a position where there is a likelyhood of the military interrogating you.

Ok, did I misread that article? Did I read that correctly? This company was assisting the "bad guys" in the mass purchase or theft of American weapons and these people aren't on trial for treason?

I am not familiar with the source of warisa crime. I hve mixed feelings on this, I really do. I mean my father fought in ww2. He had a cedar chest in his and my mothers bedroom when I was young and we were banned from getting near it. Well being the kids that we were and all the mystery and taboo surrounding that cedar chest just got our curiosity going. So one day when we were about 13 and mom and dad were at work we went snooping. Evidently it was dads war memories. He had wood blankets (those green scratchy things), old uniforms and helmets and of course his decorations and medals. He also had black and white pics of atrocities I had never heard of before much less seen. He had pics of the soldiers tied to steaks and their genitals cut off and put in their mouth. I mean gross, and horrible pics of what war does to people. To me none of it is ever good but war is war and its been going on for a long time and will for a long time to come. Im not sure why it is now that all this becomes such a big deal. Dont get me wrong, I dont approve of anyone doing things like this anywhere, but you better believe they do that and worse to our people. Those photographs were of americans that my dad had. I will never forget it. As far as the article being true, if it is, again they have managed to keep it outof the news and that would be pretty big news now wouldnt it?
