Our biggest problem with mosquitos here is the West Nile Virus.  Do you folks south of the border have that?  It's nasty.  For most it's like a really bad flu, but for some it comes with lifelong neurological issues.  It's getting worse every year.  Bug spray is a complete necessity now.

We have a serious problem with lymes here. I think lymes disease is becoming a serious threat all over the US though.

They quit spraying where I live due to budget cuts. They quit testing the water at lots of the beaches too for the same reason. Dogs are showing up with parvo and the vets are short on the medicine that prevents the parvo. Mosquitos are awful here as it is considered the rainy season and we have had cases of denghe fever too. Gotta love them thar budget cuts! Oh and several of the parks have been closed too and let go to hell. Even tho it took all that money to build them and supply running water and facilities. Now it makes more sense to just let them go by the wayside. Now that is a waste of money imo. Sorry, off topic.
