surprised no one mentioned the motor city madman

http://www.noisecreep.com/2013/01/18/ted-nugent-nra/?ncid=webmail40

Uncle Ted seems to cover several of the topics being talked about here so I just thought I would throw this out for discussion....
So what do you think about Teds thoughts on national gun registration???

If Ted is a "very intelligent man" you and I are Marilyn Vos Savant and Albert Einstein. It takes 'intelligent' to successfully pump life back into a flagging career by being deliberately offensive. Not 'very intelligent'.  Whether his work with MADD and inner city children are genuine charity or photo ops and tax write-offs is not for me to judge. I'm willing to let the actions be whatever they are. I do believe you're responsible for what you say and the effect your words can have if you're a public figure.
I remember back in the '70s, when Cat Scratch Fever came out, that the guy was waving his gun around to compensate for a lack of chest hair. I haven't had a reason to change my opinion.

I'm young still except for my wrinkles, body aches and failing eye sight!  ;)

Yeah decades of being a rock star groupie cannot just go completely away - I tried and found out it wasn't worth it ;)

Sounds like fun :) We have a right to carry our youthful pleasures on into later lives. Keeps us young. (Well, you are still young, but you know what I mean)

Funny how the guy still has relevance and you're posting on MH.  Oh well.... ."

Oh he's relelvent now but not for what he wants to be, just a nutjob.

Sebastian Sebastian oh what a mess that was. Also watched him on Celebrity Fat Club. Yeah decades of being a rock star groupie cannot just go completely away - I tried and found out it wasn't worth it ;)

Beiber? That is funny.
You are truly on a roll.

NY girl and SM_ You guys make me feel sooo old
I was a Beatles groupie and then later the psychedelic crowd at the Fillmore. When that time passed I never believed music could live up the the 60's so no one tempted me...or maybe I just got older, oh yeah the 80's was my decade of babies and a different life entirely.
Isin't it funny how each decade can seem like a lifetime in itself?

I did see Teddie a few times back in the late 70's early 80's at some outdoor concerts, kind of.... pretty hazy back then...

as far as his politics now,,,, whatever....Just thought I would stir it up a bit,

I'm just hanging out now waiting for Justin Bieber to tell me who to vote for next election....lol

:)   Me too.  It was pretty bad but I never missed an episode. I enjoyed it for some unknown reason - a lot. But then a bunch of has been musicians doing whatever they want I would ALWAYS find intriguing ;)

Ugh.  I saw it.  Former groupie girls like me always watch shows like that.  (I wasn't really a groupie but DID live for my music . . .)

Teddy was relelvant in the 70s. Then again sort of with Damn Yankees.

Now, he's just an old musician trying to keep himself relevent by saying stupid things in the press. And of course, the press enoys his fodder.

Anyone who doesn't think this is true never saw the VH1 show "Super Group".  Man was that LAME and I ate it up.

If Nugent were kissing the Presidents ***, the lefties would be all over him and enshrine him along side the President.

As Much as I hate to agree with Teko, Ted Nugent is not one of my favorite people either. I did see him in concert a couple of years ago and he put on a great show. I got front row tickets for free and I went there for the show, not the Man.

Family
He has had two wives and has eight children, including three out of wedlock in two liaisons almost 30 years apart. In the late 1960s, prior to his first marriage, Nugent fathered a boy, Ted (Mann) and a girl, whom he gave up for adoption in infancy. This did not become public knowledge until 2010. The siblings were adopted separately and had no contact with one another. The son learned the identity of his birth father in 2010 through the daughter's quest to make contact with him and their birth parents. According to a news report, Nugent over the years had discussed the existence of these children with his other children.
In 2005 Nugent was involved in a legal battle for not paying enough child support for a child he had out of wedlock in 1995. It was finally resolved when Nugent was ordered to pay $3,500 per month in child support.
In 1978, Nugent began a relationship with seventeen-year-old Hawaii native Pele Massa. Due to the age difference they could not marry so Nugent joined Massa's parents in signing documents to make himself her legal guardian, an arrangement that Spin magazine ranked in October 2000 as #63 on their list of the "100 Sleaziest Moments in Rock".

SM-These are hilarious images I am having. I love it. I bet you were *very* cute.

Teko-
"Seriously, he never did impress me, I had to look him up so he wasnt a familiar face to me. I have been blessed. :\"

You really ought to be a stand up comedian.

Back int he 80's I was sporting my big hair, purple eye shadow and sweatshirt hanging off the right shoulder.  I can not be held accountable for bad music taste.  My boyfriend of a few years way back then was a want a be rock star.  I went to a LOT of concerts.

I am *so* out of it I was thinking of the Sesame street character!

This guy is creepy scary if he is with Norquist.
I could easily come up with some conspiracy scenarios with those two together..yikes!

I honestly haven't read anything about him and yes.  It's a crime to publically threaten to kill the president, isn't it?
