Broken Wisdom Tooth for 6 months No Pain

Broke a wisdom tooth 6 months ago and now I am having problems with my jaw, face, sinuses, and throat swelling, hard time swallowing, without any pain whatsoever and no abssess, know for fact went to ENT plus dentist and had xrays done. I have severe periodontal disease on top of the broken tooth, no pains at all, just a lot of face and throat swelling. Can this still be causing all the swelling even without abbssess and pains? I am going to get a scaling done, and after the scaling I am having all 4 wisdom teeth removed which is one of my broken teeth. Please help me, I have never had facial before and I am very scared, especially when I can't swallow.

If there is not much room for the wisdom teeth to come through, they become impacted and can be extremely painful with facial swelling and throat problems.

It may be wise to see the dentist or the doctor for an antibiotic as you are having difficulty swallowing.  You won't experience facial swelling after the wisdom teeth are removed, but it will take a few weeks for the gums where the wisdom teeth have been extracted, to heal.

For your severe periodontal disease, clean your teeth morning and night time and floss every day.  The flossing will help to get your gums well again, but you will find that they will bleed, but that will gradually stop.

You will feel tender and sore for a while.  Take care when eating food and especially rice as this can get stuck in your lower gum until the area is healed.  If that does happen you can use a tooth pick to get it out.

It will take a few weeks to thoroughly heal, but you will feel so much better afterwards.

Keep up with the brushing and flossing.

Thank you =), I have recently had the wisdom teeth removed, you are 100% right they were impacted and causing a great deal of trouble with my sinuses and throat, for my gum disease i go for a scaling and root planning in nov. Was told exactly what you suggested to do by dentist, to brush day and night and always floss.
