ps the grey gunk on the side covering the partial filling I lost did come off so when I was in his chair I asked him to redo that part which he did, it was gone for 2 days and didn't hurt, is that a good sign the root, nerve, whatever is gone?
Thank you for answering me. I wish they had laughing gas but they don't. Sadly the girl dentist wasn't smart enough to tell me it wasn't going to hurt, she swore it wouldn't. So I was shocked at the pain. I let her do her thing and when I couldn't take it anymore I put up my hand for a sec and I kept saying "you lied to me" and she did.
When I went back to the same place I got the dentist whose practice it is, I guess the girl dentist just works there. I know I should've sucked it up and let him do it, he probably knows more about freezing then she does. She must've given me 20 shots of novicain and I still felt everything.
Now I've established she's a liar but she did say the next time I came back I wouldn't even need freezing. What I was hoping "half finished" meant was the nerve, pulp, whatever is all gone since she did use those pipecleaner things to remove it and now it just needs to be filed, cleaned and filled. Could that be true? I Know it will need a post and crown but all I can afford now is a perminent filling. The old silver filling only partially came out and that's the side of my tooth by my cheek, so that has to be removed and filled as well.
OK so I'm going back on tuesday, the owner of the practice is doing it and maybe he has more experience, can do a better job of freezing and it'll all be over soon. It's only a 45 min apt. How bad could it be right?
I wish I could remember the name of what she actually did but I believe the nerve is gone. I've had no pain at all. I think it's the people who are in so much pain that get root canals are the ones that say they don't hurt. If ur in a ton of pain going in then the freezing must be a relief.
Anyways, thanks for the answer and I really really hope it's not true :)
that she didnt finish the root canal... they they need to fo back in there and finish taking out all the nerve in the canals.....
you have to go back and finish it and get a crown or you have to go back and pull it... your going to be in some SERIOUS pain if you dont go back and that nerve gets exposed.. you think you were in pain then, if that "gummy" filling comes out your gunna really see pain....
have them give you the laughing gas for you to relax.. i think making them stop non stop is a bit much, and you just need to relax, if it hurts them tell them and they will give you more lidocane....it shouldnt hurt at all..... they are not going to tell you its not going to hurt and cause then when it does you turn around and sue them?... no they are smarter then that
