Thanks for the advice. I got the root canal at the endo office. Cost an arm and a leg but I felt safer than having it done by general dentist.
Especially if a general dentist does the root canal, confirm that the material used has no FORMALDEHYDE (lead and mercury too) in it. If it does and they defend it, don't listen and run. This material is considered toxic and dangerous and can cause immediate problems or ones down stream. ASK and don't assume they won't use it. It is known commonly by "Sargenti Paste" but also Sargenti Cement, N2, N2 Universal, RC2B, RC2W.
The general consensus is that an endodontist won't use it because their Am Dental Association specialty board, Am Assoc of Endodontics has this position on it

usually endodontist are the ones that do root canals.... its done in a dental office..... some general dentist will do it but to make sure its dont correctly you should see a endo
