Temporary fell out- Help!

Hi I had a temp placed in my mouth awaiting an inlay.  The temp fell out the same day & the dentist told me to get fixodent & use it if the temp falls out.  I used it & that melted in few minutes.  I am also 22 wks pregnant (which dentist is aware).  Advice please.

Temporary filling such as IRM, zinc phosphate cement, cavit, or some other material the practicing dentist prefers will suffice the job.

Any advice on type of temp I should get?

It's going to be 3 weeks.  I'm upset that the dentist could have done a better or stronger form of provisional temp?

If your final restoration can be delivered within a short period of  time, no significant consequence without temtorization.
