dry tongue making me crazy....

I had a white bump on my tongue ... went to an ENT and he removed it.  Said it was benign - eat drink and be merry.  Well, since I also have depression and anxiety, 2 weeks after my doctor put me on Zoloft.  I experienced really bad 'dry tongue'.  I felt worse.  I thought it was a reaction to the Zoloft, so I stopped taking it.  Now my tongue gets very dry in the morning. I use Biotine, but it only helps a little while.  After I eat lunch, which has been just turkey sandwiches, it feels a little better.  I used to drink a lot of Snapple Lemon diet ice tea, but that seems to make things worse.  I can't figure out what it is and of course I think IT'S TONGUE CANCER and they have to cut out of my tongue.  When I went on this website I see a lot of people are suffering with the same problem.  I have seen that some people say Alpha Lipoic Acid helps.  I am going to try it.  It is making me more depressed and anxious.

'Cottonmouth' is a general side effect to a lot of meds. Give it a few weeks maybe, but then talk to your doctor to be safe, if nothing changes.

It's possible that morning dry mouth is from mouth breathing at night.  

Be sure you keep yourself well hydrated during the day and have a small glass of water at your bedside to sip if you awaken at night.
Night time mouth breathing is notorious for morning dry mouth.  So is dehydration.

Try that and see if it helps some.  Most medication take a few weeks before they are free of the body so it's also possible that the zoloft is still contributing to it.
