help think my denist cocked up???

I've had a wisdom tooth extracted... this was difficult for my denist.. during the proceedure the tooth snapped of and came out but the roots where left in... i am worried that after 3 days the area around the tooth is throbbing still.. and that i should have further surgrey to remove the roots.. my denist said that it should only be painful for 3-4 days he prescribed me strong antibiotics.. is this normal and should i go some where to get further treatment or return to my denist??????

im sure he got the root out before you even left the office... pain afterwards is normal... make sure you use ice on your face for 15 mins.....unless you get a dry socket then the pain should subside soon.... go back to dentist if concerned
