possible nerve damage please help

A dentist who was not a root canal specialist performed a root canal on me. The tooth he performed on was on my upper right hand side towards the back. During the procedure I felt he was being rough and that he did not really know what he was doing. I left the office in great pain which has never happened before. I had no prior pain, but after the root canal, I felt pain which I found odd. The next day I woke up and my right eye was half way closed. I went back to the dentist and he prescribed my meds thinking I had an infection. I went back a couple weeks later again because my eye did not get better and he prescribed me another dose of meds. Long story short... Its been 5 years and my eye lids is still droopy. I have done so much to figure out what has happened and no one can help me.PLEASE... Does anyone have any idea what could of happened and what I can do to help myself, please
