smell?

when i touch the gums around my two back teeth on the bottom of my mouth my finger comes out smelling gross, the gum around these teeth is kinda loose from the tooth so i can stick my finger in a little bit. i have tried brushing, mouthwash and gum but nothing seems to get rid of the smell, it has been there for quite awhile now and i don't know what is causing it. help?!

I have a cure all for that gum smelling issue. Buy a good waterpik, and mix half warm water and half hydrogen peroxide 3%. On the lowest setting, irrigate the area that smells twice a day. It really works! It flushes out the pocket that is trapping the bacteria and causing the bad smell. Good luck!

you could have something called periodontal disease. or gingavitis. periodontal disease is serious and if that is the case you need to see a dentist right away. periodontal deisease is an infecrion of the periodontium. there are three things keeping your teeth in your mouth you gingiva (gums), your bone, and the periodontium. once you have perio disease you gums start to reciede and if it gets bad enough you teeth can fall out and you can get infections as well. I am not a dentist by any means I am just a dental assistant but i have been trained to know the signs of most dental problems. this could be perio disease.
