I got a back tooth pulled monday and its now thursday and still have pain not severe pain but a constant pain if I dont take the pain meds Is this normal and how long should it last? ty

You might want to get checked for a dry socket. Usually presents as a dull ache that does not get better every day after extraction. This is caused by a lack of blood clot forming in the socket. If you are a smoker you at high rish for dry socket. The dentist will treat a dry socket with a medicine put into the socket and/or antibiotics.

Hi I Have had alot of teeth pulled. and yes this is normal. it may take over a week to really get better. U can rinse with warm salt water twice a day. that seem to help me alot. U can also put a cold compress on the side it was pulled. 15mins then leave off for 10mins. Also I have had bone come through  my gums where the tooth has been pulled. it made the area really hurt. but it will work its self out.hope this helps
