Can I take Nyquil with my anti deppressant

I went to the hospital today for a cough i have had for about a week. I cant get the teselon Perle medicine they prescribed for me until tomorrow. I was going to take NyQuil for it  but then realized that on the warning it advises against certain anti depressants and I take Citalopram. can i take NyQuil if i have not taken my citalopram in a little over a week? I am coughing so hard that it is giving me a migraine and i cant drink anything or ill pee myself. I cant sleep because every time i lay down the cough gets worse.

Glad it worked out for you.  If you're ever in that siutation again, call your local pharmacy and speak to the pharmacist.  They will be able to advise you.

I ended up taking it because I couldn't stop coughing and it was tearing up my throat. I have tried calling the hospital before and asking but whenever I call they tell me to come in because they cant advise on the phone. But anyways I survived and I got my prescription filled today so I dont I should be good for now thank you though

I agree that it is always best to ask your doc or pharmacist first, to be on the safe side.  I doubt there would be a contraindication, but ask first.

Also ask about Robitussin DM.  Honestly, that is one of the best cough syrups out there, and it is safe to take.  You could take that during the day and the Nyquil at night.  Call your doc!

I would ask one of the doctors on the forum about this.  Only a professional can advise.  Or ring hospital and ask person who prescribed the cough medicine.
