Is Prozac safe when you're pregnant?

I wqnt to know is ti safe to take FOLUXETINE HCL 20mg. when pregnant in the 26th weeks? Even the doctor prescribed it and the warning lable on the bottle said Do not take this medication in 3rd. trimester. What is the right way to go?

I totally agree with Julie on this. You're talking about your baby here, and I would want to know everything before taking any medication while pregnant. Talk to your doctor about this.

If i were you i would go straight back to the doctor who precribed this drug and state your concerns. If in the leaflet it states not to take in the 3rd trimester then do not take any until you have got more advice or a 2nd opinion.

Maybe the doc could prescribe something more suitable for pregnancy, so that both you and the baby are not at risk. Good-luck!

Yeah that's right, you shouldn't take it during the third trimester and while breastfeeding.
