Does coming off anti-depressants cold turkey after 6 months cause mood swings ?
Hi All
My brother took anti-depressants think it was cipramil and briefly took eflexor for six months in total and just stopped cold turkey. He has major mood swings shouting and it upsets me as we are staying with him and
my mum because I am not well coming off eflexor. I worry about my son picking up his anger as he is shouting
back and he is only 10. I feel guilty I am in this mess, will try and keep out of his way

No one should ever come off anti depressants C/T,It should only be done with a doctors help and should be tapered,he needs to get to a doctor ASAP
Lorraine, this is a touchy situation as I'm sure you know. You should try to get your brother to see his doctor again (I know, easier said than done). It won't be easy, but if you can catch him in a good mood, he may just listen.
