Does Zoloft have an intra day effect as well as a cummulative effect?

I know that it takes many weeks for zoloft to take full effect, but, I was wondering if there is also an effect within a day as the dose wears off.  I take mine just before bed and it seems that by the end of the next day, before I take my next dose, I start feeling really depressed.

It depends on how long you've been on it, but I was on it and never had these "dips".  Contact the doctor who prescribed the medication and ask. It may just be too low a dosage for you, or it has not had enough time to build up in your system, which is usually 2-4 weeks.

Most people that have been on any SSRI including Zoloft for a long period do not notice any "dip" if they miss just one dosage. Myself on the otherhand, like you I do notice if I take my antidepressant late or skip a dosage.

I guess it depends on the person.
