Memory problems; tied to depression, my meds, or both?

I've been depressed for four years now and am now being medicated with 150mg venlafaxin, 8mg serdolect and just recently stopped taking mirtazapin.
My problem is my memory. I have hard time remembering what I did the day before and sometimes because of my memory issues I can't even be sure whether something happened or not. I may have this little feeling that I kinda know what I did earlier but can't be sure because I remember a lot of things like they were dreams.
This is getting really frustrating. I'm 21 yrs old and want to start studying again one day but if things stay the same there's no way I can study or do anything.
Anyone who knows if this is thanks to my depression or medication or what? Thanks!

Thanks for your answer. And all of my current meds are pretty old for me already so I guess I'll go talk to my doc about it. If I can remember..

I have memory and concentration problems when I am depressed but not as severe as what you are saying.  I have no experience with any of the meds you are on but if you noticed these problems after you had recently started any of these look up the side effects and see if it relates.  Other than that you may have to talk do your dr.
