Namaste,

Celexa is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It works by restoring the balance of serotonin, a natural occuring substance found in the brain, which helps to improve certain mood problems.

Celexa is used to treat depression.

Take Celexa exactly as it was prescribed for you. Don't take a day off, just because you think its' causing you anxiety.

Not using the medication as prescribed and giving it an opportunity to work will defeat the purpose for which it was originally prescribed.

If you experience side effects from the medication contact your healthcare provider so that an appropriate course of action can be determined.

Second guessing healthcare professionals will never allow your condition to be controlled.

We all have our up days(times) and our down days(times) and we all feel anxious at times, for a multitude of reasons. Don't be too quick to blame your medication.

Try to relax, take a walk, meditate, take a warm bath or anything else that has relaxed you in the past. Your anxiety will pass.
