Issue with the skin on my penis

So recently, after becoming sexually active again for about the last month, I have had skin between the shaft and the penis head rubbing off as well as the head itself. On top of this on the left and right underside of my penis, just under the head, the skin was extremely aggravated and sensitive, almost to the point of bleeding. While having sex it burned a little but not to the point of extreme pain. I am quite concerned. Ive spend the past week nursing it with some topical creams  and the aggravated skin has healed a bit, however. There is still a lot of peeling and the healed skin that was heavily aggravated is extremely soft and shiny and almost feels like it could tear. Any suggestions?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Your symptoms are suggestive of chafing of the skin of the penis. Chafing occurs when the skin becomes irritated by the friction caused by rubbing – either against other skin or against a foreign material. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
