Hello,
It does not look like meniscus rejection. It looks like infection of the surgery site. Since it is painful, there are more chances of infection. You should get it evaluated.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
i have had a culture and all the testing and still no outcome of what the issue is.. I am going back to the doctor after these couple of months of burning and hurting. Do you think maybe my body could be rejecting the screw?
Thanks you for your reply and yes I will follow to see what the doctor sayds again.
Hello,
It looks like there is infection of the incision site. If not treated it can cause cellulitis or abscess formation. Since it is discharging, to confirm the diagnosis, you need to get a culture sensitivity of the discharge done to confirm the diagnosis. If it is bacterial infection then you would need a course of antibiotics or incision and drainage (in severe cases).
