do i have herpes

i keep getting these bumps on my penis, i took STD test and it came back negative. i am worried because it started on my shaft and then it went away but few weeks later came back in different spot, then it went away and now it has come right on the bottom on my head of my penis almost near the hole. they dont hurt and i do masturbate alot and have hair around my penis the bumps seem to form in a circle and i wash the area and use ointment then it dries up and goes away. i took std test are the test wrong is this herpes? i dont even notice unless im jus randomly lookin at my penis or when i masturbate i always check. is there anything u have seen like this before they dont hurt or itch, seems like they only go away for few weeks then comes back.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cysts ,molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts(caused by HPV infection). It does not look like a herpes sore which is painful and turns into an open sore after scabbing over.

Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
