Penile Fungus

I originally had a thread on the STD forums, but rode that thread as far as I could.  To summarize before continuing, yesterday I noticed a small red lesion (maybe 3mm) inside my forskin slightly below my glans.  There was no pain, and no apparent blistering, although the surface of it was glistening and looked raw.

About 3 weeks prior I caught what I think was a yeast infection from my regular partner.  The reason for thinking this was I treated the small red bumps with anti-fungal and it went away about 3 days later.  My partner treated herself with a 3 day treatment and after an itchy period it went away as well.

Recently (4 months ago) I did something stupid.  Since then I have been tested for everything I can think of and come up clean every time (including a non-type-specific IgG HSV test).

Anyway, thinking this new spot was possibly fungal in nature, I treated with an over the counter antifungal, and by 10am this morning the lesion was gone.  I want to say too there was a chance the lesion was just chaffing although it was circular and not normally where I would chafe.

So, my questions are:

- Assuming this was fungal, how is that possible since I haven't had intercouse in any way in 3 weeks and have kept myself clean and dry?

- How fast does Antifungal work?  Isn't less than 24 hours rather quick for complete healing?  Really, I can't say it wasn't there before I noticed it, but assuming it wasn't, then between noticing and complete healing took all of 1 day.

- Assuming it wasn't fungal, what else could it be?  Is there any STD (HSV aside) which can appear like that almost 5 months post exposure?  I really don't think it was an STD, but a lesion on my penis always gets me thinking that it's a possibility.

Thanks.

Please people, I hate being that guy that "bumps" things up, but here I am, bumping away.

Anyone have any ideas or tips or whatever on my original post?

I'm guessing by the silence no one can help me with my fungus questions?
