Cluster of small bumps, other bumps formed later

The day after the 4th of July, I woke up WITH a cluster of little red bumps on the inside of my right ankle. My initial thought was "mosquito bites" so I thought nothing of it and put some benedryl cream on it. I did itch it occasionaly, but nothing too serious. Later that day, I realized I had a mosquito bite on the top of my left thigh. I did the same thing as I did with the other and put benedryl on it. When I woke up the next morning however, I found two more bumbs, both located on my left thigh, one below my knee and other on the outside of my thigh. I put more benedryl on those, and found that the mosquito bite on the top of my left thigh was actually 2 or 3 little red bumbs. They're really small and really close together, and became more raised over time, even without itching them. The "mosquito bites" on my inner ankle ended up being the same thing. There's about 3 or 4 bumps and they're very shiny and itch pretty bad.

Do you have any idea what this could be? Thank you so much!

About a week after they've gone down and most aren't there at all. There is a tiny little bump still on my ankle but even that is slowly going away. Thank you so much for your help!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
They can be insect bites or scabies bite. Scabies is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
