Dark Dry spot on my lip
I have noticed this week that i have a small dark spot on my lower lip and my lips (lower lip especially) have been extremely dry and chapped. I dont know what it could be but its pretty noticable now.
iv had this simialr issue too, its been since march and my daoctor said it was post-inflammatory hyperpigmenation...how can i get rid of it?

Hi,
Dry, chapped lips may be due to decreased moisture, sun exposure, frequent licking of the lips or an allergic reaction. This may also result to a red ring around the mouth. Moisturizing with lip balm containing sunscreen or petroleum jelly may help. However, if the redness, pigmentation, cracking or dryness persist and becomes painful, have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Medicated lip balm may be indicated.
