Indentation from cortisone

Recently I received cortisone shots (5MG) in about 6 areas of my face that had hard swelling (not Acne). In the past, I have received the same treatment a few times, in different areas, but unfortunately this time I noticed major indentations in every area injected (different Dr. then previously used). I've heard this will come back with time (weeks/months) but want to be sure the body re-produces collagen in this area naturally, especially since this was not an acne induced indentation. Note, I have never had scars left from a pimple or these swollen areas in the past. Please give me some good news on the prognosis!

Hello,
There is no diet and drinks to help in removal of cortisone. For the indentations caused by steroid injections, the stated methods are the only treatment available. My sincere advice would be to consult a  dermatologist and discuss it with him.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Is there a diet the enhances to healing? Should I be drinking a lot of water to dilute the residual cortisone in my system?

Hello,
These indentations which have formed after steroid injections can take upto 6 months to heal and fill in when collages in formed but sometimes it may take longer or less depending on the depth of the indentations and the response of the skin. If they persist then you can get collagen filling and laser resurfacing done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
