Dark Skin

Hi Docotor,
I am south asian and has brown skin. 12 years ago, I had laser treatment for Acne.
Now My skin is getting darker and darker where I had laser treatment.
Is there is anyway to get original color back?

                     I have few more things to verify. If I choose Microdermabrasion procedure, How long will take to get back to normal? How many sessions normally require for this procedure?

Hello,
Hyper and hypopigmentation are sometimes the undesirable side effects of laser treatment. Topical treatments with acids and chemical peels can be effective but can take a while for the skin to totally revert to its normal color.  Microdermabrasion can also be done, but this might require several sessions.
