Dark lip corners

Hello Everyone
I had dark lip corners since months ,, recently i started using hydroquinone 4% and tretinion 0.025% combined cream to  lighten the lip corners,, i had been applying this medicine for 10 days every night before going to bed ,, but it hasnt helped much ,, i have also tried various home remedies  and other kojic acid creams earlier but all my efforts went in vain ,, so someone please give me some quality advice ,,how can i overcome this problem ,, please reply,, thanks

Thank you ma'am for this favorable reply, honestly i want to say that i am a student right now living on my parents income so i wont be able to opt for any laser surgery or those treatment involving an exorbitant price, my parents wont agree to these costly treatment so please recommend me some topical retinoids which can work wonders, the discoloration of my lips has stolen my charm and since days i have been running from clinic to clinic in search of assistance but the dermatologist in my place (delhi) are only recommending me to use mild creams which are of no use to me because the problem still exists, so therefore i request u to help me by suggesting a cost effective remedy that can fix this problem,, please do reply ma'am and thank u once again for paying heed to my message

Effective treatment options for a spot removal include treatment with vitamin C and hydrocortisone, peel with carbon dioxide snow and alexandrite and ND-Yag Q-Switched laser treatment preceded by a hydroquinone-based application.

I would stop with the topical drugs.  I would see a real doctor for some lab work.  Dermatologists only treat symptoms, not the underlying cause, so they are not the right doc to start with for a symptom that could be a warning of something like diabetes.
