Dry wrinkled skin on penis glans

Hi, Could I please get your opinion on my problem. Close to a year ago, I applied undiluted dettol handwash onto my penis glans and rubbed it over the head of my penis. I used the entire contents of a small bottle. I remember the Dettol hurt as I applied it - like a strong stinging sensation. Shortly afterwards (like the next day or two) I noticed that the head of my penis was shrivelled up and wrinkly all over. It was like there was a loose layer of skin on my glans and it was really dry and pale looking. I usually wash my penis with soap but under running water and in this instance I just applied the dettol and then had a shower afterwards. I kept using soap after applying the dettol. The condition seemed to improve but VERY slowly. It's now much better and the colour resembles what my penis normally looks like. The skin is still a little dry and wrinkled around the edge of the penis glans at times.
Also, throughout the year, i've had a slight burning sensation under my penis glans and have had at least about 10-15 times where the head of my penis had redness appear over the entire head and then clear up within a couple of days or so. I've been to the doctor and he told me I burnt my penis head - like a chemical type burn. I have also had an STD blood, swab and urine test which came back clear. My doctor told me it is pointless seeing a dermatologist and that it simply needs time to heal. Does this sound like some sort of burn or could it be a disease of some sort? Any help is greatly appreciated as it is really playing on my mind. Thank you.

Sir ,I also did same mistake by putting some dettol on penis ,
now after 2 days dead skin is pilling off my penis.

do I need to worry about dead skin and rub to remove it since dead skin can be poisonous or it will get washed away during bath within few days.

help please.

Thanks a lot for your comment. As I mentioned i am in remote area & don't have anything else my mentioned stuff, so i just used COCONUT oil 3 times, And now i am feeling better. Though joints of legs & prostates foreskin dried & dead skin come out, but penis foreskin & prostate gland is still paining, irritating & facing problem in Urine. Returning back to India & will show to doctor. But afraid from the Don 999 outcome, that my small mistake will ends up to years pain.

What you seem to be having is irritant contact dermatitis of the area. Irritant dermatitis, the most common type of contact dermatitis, involves inflammation resulting from contact with acids, alkaline materials such as soaps and detergents, cosmetics, or other chemicals.

Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat it dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Sir, I am nowdays in a very remote area of west africa. Nearly 4 days before, i did the same mistake by bare dettol over penis & glands, area like don 2009  & since last 3 days, i were in great burning sensation in gland & sorrounding area, but today morning, when i started bathing, all dry skin come out from that area. That is great feeling as i have that black area since 15 years like fungus at joints of leg & penis area.

So, Again i did the same today, and this time burning sensation is unbearable. I am feeling like uncontious due to sensation & burning at all that area. In this remote area, no possible medicine, but in my medicine bok, i have combiflame, Ciprofloxin, disprin & pudin hara. Please  reply me fast. I am in big problem, now i searched internet & shocked by this chemical burning & angry on dettol, why he not mention anything on bottle

Please help ASAP, before i die due to pain

Hello,
Since the penis head was healing and then suddenly you had these symptoms, so the possibility of balanitis cannot be ruled out. It is an inflammation of the glans penis.
Oral course of antibiotics is needed.In addition,pls don’t use any cosmetics on the penis,instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin.Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin.In case the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.
