My eczema started more than 2 years ago. I tried different brands of hydrocortizone creme or ointment. Hydrocotizone gives relief but the itching always comes back. When it starts to bleed from scratching i would put anitbiotic ointment with pain relief like Polisporin. I never consulted a doctor due to embarassment. Just last week i read about how apple cider vinegar helps in eczema itch relief. I gave it a try and it really works. I diluted the ACV in one part water and one part ACV and applied it with a cotton ball. Let it dry and apply Polisporin to areas that are starting to heal. I know everyone reacts differently but this is the only thing that worked for me for a long time. Im still in the healing stage from the scratching but the itch is gone. I hope this works for anyone else suffering from eczema.
It could be eczema, sweat dermatitis, allergic reactions or eczema.
You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites.
Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene .
Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.
For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).
Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema. Keeping the affected area moistened can promote skin healing and relief of symptoms.

I have the same thing. I doubt that it's eczema. The doctors just don't know. I know a few people with eczema and even though everyone is different, this isn't close. For one thing eczema always comes and goes. It always gets scaly dry and itchy. Itching is the worse part according to the thousands of people that talk about their condition.
I haven't found one person that has a chronic red burning feeling. Even people that have it all over their body don't get it in one location everyday. If you go to the web sites that specialize in eczema, you won't find anyone that experiences pain. Unless it's flaring and has been scratched to the point of bleeding.
Every body with eczema complains about the itching. That it keeps them up at night. I don't itch and the burning doesn't bother me unless I'm walking.
I have been suffering for almost two years. I am now taking anti depressants. Hoping it might keep me from doing something. I too am in construction and I have been brought to tears on days when I had to walk allot.
None of the treatment that these doctors have prescribed did anything. They gave me oral prednisone for two weeks, claiming that it will make the worst case clear up for a short time. Nothing happened. I have tried topical steroids, elidel, protopic and thousands of eczema ointments.
I am 44 and never had any skin problems prior to this. This started the day after I had to use an extremely dirty porta pot.
I have excellent insurance and was tested for everything anyone can think of. I went to infectious disease doctors, dermatologists, urologist, neurologist, allergist and primary doctors. Only one dermatologist of seven said it was eczema. I was told that there isn't any test that can prove eczema. Outside of a gene test or possibly DNA test looking for the gene that's been implicated.
I know how desperate you are, I don't know how much of this I can take.
One thing that does seem to affect it is the amount of sugar I consume. I definitely believe this is some sort of internal yeast. When I was given diflucan it did affect things but it also made my skin break out all over my chest and legs. I did a test, for yeast and it came back positive.
Look up red scrotum syndrome. You're not alone!
